Lead set up and changeover functions within Bell Labs production.
Work on processes to improve production efficiencies and reduce high scrap rates.
Research problems with equipment and tooling and take corrective actions.
Trouble shoot process issues in the manufacturing and consult with maintenance for solutions to the problems.
Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
Perform daily rounds and checks at each production line.
Have a good knowledge of all machines and their functions.
Perform minor maintenance and repairs.
Maintain good communication with the Quality Control Department to ensure quality products are produced on your shift and at the start up.
Report problems, needs, and equipment breakdowns to your supervisor so it can be corrected.
Spend adequate time before and after each shift to ensure all information is properly passed onto oncoming shifts.
Follow all safety rules put forth by the company safety policies.
All other duties as assigned by your shift supervisor or management.
High school diploma or GED
Must have six months to one year as a set up technician or equivalent training
Ability to operate equipment and tools used in machinery pre-delivery and set up processes
Ability to assemble machinery components and to follow manufacturer's instruction
Fundamental knowledge of tube fillers, multi-head volumetric fillers, pressurized can filling, coders, labelers, and hot filling equipment
